How is a WhiteWater System used?

1. Continuous disinfection during production

To help reduce product micro levels, WhiteWater can be continuously applied directly onto product during nearly every phase of production, from the whole fish stage to heading & gutting, skinning & deboning, and final packaging.

 

Handheld sprayers, automated spray bars, and dip tanks are used in this application to apply WhiteWater to product as a low-pressure, ozone-infused water rinse.  This low-pressure, ozone-infused water utilizes ozone’s powerful oxidation capabilities to kill bacteria on product.
Processors treating their product with WhiteWater typically experience significant increases in shelf life and significant reductions in product quality complaints and customer credits.

2. Continuous cleaning during production

To help control bacteria growth, reduce cross contamination, and control soil buildup, WhiteWater can be continuously applied during production to product contact surfaces such as cutting tables, conveyors, skinners, deboners, saws and other automated processing equipment.

Drip tubes and automated spray bars are used in this application to apply WhiteWater to product contact surfaces as a low-pressure, ozone-infused water rinse, and in many cases equipment that relies upon water for operation can be switched to WhiteWater to facilitate continuous cleaning.  This low-pressure, ozone-infused water utilizes ozone’s powerful oxidation capabilities to kill bacteria on product contact surfaces and thereby prevents these bacteria from contaminating product that was otherwise bacteria free.  The same oxidation power that kills bacteria also enables ozone to break the molecular bond between soils and product contact surfaces, making it difficult for soils to adhere to product contact surfaces during production.

With WhiteWater, processing surfaces remain visually clean throughout the day without the rise in micro counts typically experienced during production, enabling processors to produce longer without shutting down for sanitation.

3. Intervention cleaning during production breaks

To help control heavy soil buildup in areas (such as floors, framework, etc) not treated continuously with WhiteWater during production, WhiteWater can be quickly applied to hard surfaces during breaks and lunches.

Hand-held spray guns and hoses located throughout the processing area for quick and easy access are used in this application to apply WhiteWater to dirty surfaces in two parallel streams, one a low-pressure, ozone-infused water stream and the other a high-pressure water stream.  While conventional chemical-based sanitation methods utilize harsh chemicals and require multiple time-consuming steps for rinsing, degreasing, and sanitizing, WhiteWater’s two streams work together to clean and sanitize dirty surfaces in a single, quick, 100% organic step compatible with short breaks and lunches: the low-pressure, ozone-infused water utilizes ozone’s powerful oxidation capabilities to break the molecular bond between soils and hard surfaces while the high-pressure water drives the soils from the hard surfaces.

4. Post-production sanitation
